Managing a steel construction project can be complex. Understanding the lifecycle of a project helps developers manage expectations and budgets. Here is how Vinct Engineering Limited delivers exceptional workmanship from start to finish.
Phase 1: The Design & Engineering Consultation
It starts with a conversation. We analyze your requirements—be it a commercial mall, a bridge, or an industrial plant—and use CAD software to create a 3D model. This stage is about value engineering: finding the most efficient way to use steel to achieve your goals without over-designing and wasting money.
Phase 2: Controlled Fabrication in Ruiru
Once the designs are approved, fabrication begins in our workshop. Working in a controlled environment is a massive advantage; unlike on-site fabrication, we aren’t affected by rain or wind. We use automated cutting and drilling to ensure every component is identical and precise.
Phase 3: Surface Treatment & Protection
Before leaving the workshop, the steel is cleaned and treated. Depending on the project, this might involve sandblasting to a “near-white” metal finish followed by high-performance primers and topcoats to ensure long-term durability.
Phase 4: Logistics and Safe Erection
Transporting large steel members requires specialized equipment. We manage the logistics from Ruiru to your site across East Africa. Our erection teams are trained in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards, using cranes and rigging tools to safely assemble the structure on-site.
Phase 5: Handover and Certification
We don’t just finish and leave. We conduct a final walk-through, provide as-built drawings, and issue the necessary structural certificates required by the National Construction Authority (NCA).
